Equine Education: A Path Beyond the Stable

Jessica Locke’s journey at Kidderminster College is a perfect example of how an equine education can lead to more than just working with horses. After two years of developing her skills in stable management, horse health, and behaviour through the Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management, Jess discovered a new passion: event management.

Throughout the course, Jess had the opportunity to plan and organise equine-themed events such as cake sales, sponsored rides, and pub quizzes. During these moments—creating social media content, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth operations—she realised her love for event planning.

Now enrolled in the BA (Hons) Event Management program at University College Birmingham, Jess's story showcases how transferable skills like communication, organisation, and leadership can open doors across different industries. We wish Jess all the best in her future endeavours!
