Ignite Acting - Level 3

• 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths
• Alternatively, completion of a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject, with an overall Merit profile
• Attendance of an in-house audition or submission of self-tapes

Upon successful completion of your first year of training, you will receive a UAL Level 3 Diploma in Performing & Production Arts (Acting). Then, after the successful completion of your second year, you will receive a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing & Production Arts (Acting).

• Acting for TV & film
• Contemporary and classical theatre
• Movement in performance
• The physical body (delivered with a focus on The Alexander Technique, which is a standard industry professional practice)
• Practitioner study (Stanislavski, Brecht, Grotowski, Meisner, Strasburg and Adler to name but a few)
• Voice in performance (delivered through the Estill International Voice Training model, which is also a standard industry professional practice)
• Audition techniques
• Creation of your bespoke Professional Practice Portfolio
• Devising and writing for theatre

• Written logs
• Self-tapes
• Vlogs or digital portfolios

• Practical assessments
• Written documentation

Ignite Acting, Musical Theatre and Technical Theatre make frequent visits to watch live theatre, both locally and on the West End, as well as taking part in external workshops, community performances and charity events. In addition to this, learners are guided and encouraged to gain work experience within specialist fields, including work as paid extras!

Your course will help you build on your English and maths skills in a practical setting. All Ignite students will participate in activities that require these skills throughout their two years training; through submitting written documentation to support practical assessments and working in an industry-grade theatre and production arts workshop.
