Dream of being a professional actor? Then you're in the right place.

Our Level 3 course is designed by experts in the field to give you a professional level of training. Taught by industry specialists, you'll gain a strong technical grounding in acting through classes and workshops.

We believe in connecting what you learn with real-world practice. We will support you to develop your creative vision and you will be encouraged to be versatile and critically evaluate your performance throughout the course as you grow in confidence and maturity.

You'll have plenty of chances to show off your talents in various productions. Previous performances by Ignite Acting include Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones, Jim Cartwright's ROAD, Market Boy by David Eldridge and The Ferryman by Jez Butterworth, along with a number of original concept productions, including a stage adaptation of John Hughes' 80's cult classic The Breakfast Club.

Ignite Acting also works collaboratively with Ignite Musical Theatre and Ignite Technical Theatre, which allows you to customise your training to suit your career goals.

What can I do with a qualification in Acting?

Daily tasks:

  • Plays pre-recorded music at nightclubs, discotheques, and private functions.
  • Conducts interviews and prepares reports for news broadcasts, current affairs programmes and documentaries.
  • Introduces and presents radio and television programmes, reads news bulletins and makes announcements.
  • Trains animals to perform entertaining routines and may perform with them.
  • Performs singing, comedy, acrobatic, illusion and conjuring routines.
  • Assumes character created by a playwright or author and communicates this to an audience.
  • Studies script, play or book and prepares and rehearses interpretation.
