The core element of a T Level in Health will boost your knowledge in a range of topics such as the principles of good scientific and clinical practice; as well as fundamental scientific concepts; management of equipment and work areas, stock control and storage, and the importance of quality standards, Health and Safety. Health is critical, as one of the fastest growing industry sectors, you'll have a chance to make a huge difference to other people's lives and society, whilst also developing innovative tests and treatments for the future.
You'll then choose a specialism designed to support your interests, so you can get deeper into your chosen subject and build up the skills you need for your future job. You can choose from specialist modules including supporting Adult Nursing.
Then you'll be able to put everything you learn into practice, with a substantial industry placement of around 45 days, an average of 350 hours over the two-year course. Giving you an amazing opportunity to work with an employer while you study, in a hospital or healthcare setting, and gain invaluable experience as well as key skills that employers are looking for.

Entry requirements:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including English, Maths and Science
- You may also be required to participate in an assessment to ensure suitability ahead of enrolment
- Suitable DBS clearance
What will I achieve?
UCAS Points worth 168 points, equivalent to three A Levels, and a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification.

Work experience opportunities:
Students on the Health pathway must also dedicate a minimum of 750 hours to a supervised industry placement in an appropriate educational setting. This will be organised by the college.
English and Maths:
English skills are embedded within the Health qualification content. This includes reading and comprehending theoretical study texts, writing reports or documentation related to the industry, and effective communication in professional settings. You are encouraged to develop your written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and the ability to analyse and evaluate information.
Maths is also embedded within the vocational context. It focuses on applying mathematical concepts and techniques relevant to the specific industry. You will learn to solve industry-specific mathematical problems. The aim is to develop numeracy skills that are directly applicable to real-world scenarios encountered in Health Care.
Where can I progress?
As a nationally recognised qualification, you will be able to progress to a variety of university courses, including Adult Nursing.
Course information:

In the event that we are unable to deliver specific T Level pathways, we will communicate with applicants and work to find alternative and suitable programmes.
Equivalent to 3 A Levels:
T Levels are an alternative to A levels, apprenticeships and other 16 to 19 courses. Equivalent in size to 3 A levels, a T Level focuses on vocational skills and can help students into skilled employment, higher study, or apprenticeships.
