If you're looking to enhance your existing accounting knowledge and master more complex accounting disciplines, this course could be right for you.
You will take on advanced bookkeeping, final accounts, intricate financial processes and ethical practices for accountants. This qualification also covers business awareness, which provides an understanding of business, its environment, the role of the accounting function and its performance.
Entry requirements
- 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths
- Level 2 Certificate in Accounting or Business at Merit or above or equivalent
What will I achieve?
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting.

How am I assessed?
Each unit is assessed by a computerised exam.
Work experience opportunities
As part of this course, you will be required to undertake work experience within the accounting environment. This will be for one day a week over eight weeks. The college will support with placements.
English and Maths
English will be included in the course through learning new terminology.
Maths will be included through using Excel.
Where can I progress?
Upon successful completion of this course, you can go onto a Level 4 AAT Diploma in Professional Accounting.
Alternatively, you can apply for a university degree in accounting or get a job in the industry.
