British Standard BS 7671 "Requirements for Electrical Installations. IET Wiring Regulations", informally called in the electrical community The "Regs", is the national standard in the United Kingdom for electrical installation and the safety of electrical wiring in domestic, commercial, industrial, and other buildings, also in special installations and locations, such as marinas or caravan parks.

This course is suitable for electricians with 2382 17th edition. Electricians attending the course will be expected to purchase the IET 18th edition (Brown Cover) wiring regulations book, currently retailing at £95. The book will not be provided by the college.

This award gives the learner an understanding of the application of the IET Wiring Regulations Eighteenth Edition. It provides a facility for individuals working in the electrotechnical sector to develop and/or enhance their knowledge of the requirements for electrical installation.

Learners must have a Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification such as a C&G or EAL Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation
